Tencent Releases Hy4: Vision, Computer Use, and a Planned Open-Weight Drop

Tencent Hy released Hy4, the formal successor to Hy4 preview, on November 4, 2026. The company says the new checkpoint substantially scales pre-training and post-training versus the August preview, adds vision and computer use for the first time, and—on Tencent’s own framing—puts Hy among the strongest open-source models for the first time. Model weights are not downloadable on launch day: Tencent says it plans to open-source them soon and to publish a system card with that release. Hy4 is already live on Tencent Cloud and OpenRouter, and inside CodeBuddy, WorkBuddy, Yuanbao, and ima.
